Grey-breasted Crake (Laterallus exilis) is a small 14–15 cm crake of Central and South America, from Nicaragua to Brazil. Dark brown above; pale grey breast; rufous face; black-and-white barred flanks. Inhabits marshes, wet grassland, and flooded rice fields at low elevations. Secretive; detected by sharp calls. Feeds on invertebrates and seeds.
