Nilgiri Imperial-pigeon (Ducula cuprea), 43 cm. Dark bronze-green upperparts; pale grey head; underparts washed coppery-pink. Endemic to the hills of southwestern India (Western Ghats) and Sri Lanka. Inhabits dense evergreen forest. Frugivore. Near Threatened; dependent on intact Western Ghats forest.
