White-faced Plover: 15–17 cm, recently split from Kentish Plover; paler with an extensively white face, bill, and underparts. Coastal resident on sandy beaches and estuaries of South China, Taiwan, Vietnam, and surrounding southeast Asian coasts. Insectivorous. Threatened by beach development and disturbance. NT.
