Giới Thiệu
The Oriental Reed-warbler (<em>Acrocephalus orientalis</em>) belongs to the family Acrocephalidae and is one of the larger reed-warblers in its genus. It occupies coastal and wetland habitats, frequenting tall reed beds and marshy areas across its range. Detailed plumage and behavioral descriptions of this species are limited in the available literature. This species constructs a cup nest (CP) and typically lays 3 to 6 eggs per clutch. Incubation lasts approximately 12 to 14 days, and chicks fledge within 10 to 15 days of hatching, a relatively rapid developmental timeline. The Oriental Reed-warbler is currently assessed as Least Concern, reflecting a population that is not considered at elevated risk. It is a long-distance migratory species, breeding across East and Southeast Asia and wintering further south. Its robust size and habitat preferences distinguish it from several congeners, making it a notable representative of wetland-associated Acrocephalus warblers in the region.
