Blackpoll Warbler
The Blackpoll Warbler is a small, near-threatened warbler; breeding males have a black cap, white cheeks, and heavily black-streaked white underparts, while females and nonbreeding birds are streaked olive-green. It breeds in boreal forest from Alaska across Canada to Newfoundland, undertaking one of the longest overwater migrations of any songbird, flying nonstop to South America for winter.
