Scarlet-breasted Fruit-dove (Megaloprepia formosa), 28 cm. Vivid scarlet breast on a green body; grey head with a yellow bill. Endemic to Sulawesi and the Sula Islands, Indonesia. Inhabits primary lowland rainforest. Frugivore. Vulnerable; threatened by forest loss across Sulawesi.

Adamawa Turtle-dove

Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
