Talaud Rail
Talaud Rail (Gymnocrex talaudensis) is a poorly-known rail endemic to the Talaud Islands in the northern Moluccas, Indonesia. Similar to Blue-faced Rail; brown above with some rufous tones; bare facial skin. Inhabits forest and scrub on small islands. Known from very few specimens.
Dieffenbach's Rail
Dieffenbach's Rail (Hypotaenidia dieffenbachii). Extinct. Flightless; brown with barred underparts; endemic to the Chatham Islands, New Zealand. Hunted to extinction by Polynesian and European settlers by approximately 1840. Known from a few museum specimens collected in 1839–40.
