Shining Imperial-pigeon (Ducula chalconota), 38 cm. Richly iridescent bronze-green upperparts with a contrasting pale grey head and underparts. Found in montane forest of New Guinea from 700 to 2,200 m. Frugivore. Least Concern; common in hill and montane forest.

Brush Bronzewing

Medium pigeon, 28–33 cm, with richly patterned rufous-brown plumage, bold iridescent bronze and purple wing patches, and a chestnut forehead. Restricted to coastal scrub, heath, and dense forest in southern Australia and Tasmania. Granivore of seeds on the ground. Least Concern.
