About These Birds
Two-banded Plover
Two-banded Plover: 17–19 cm, South American plover with two distinct black breast-bands, rufous crown, and white forehead. Breeds on coastal beaches and interior steppe of Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego, and Falkland Islands; migrates north to Chile and Brazil in austral winter. Insectivorous. Regional long-distance migrant.
