Asian Glossy Starling
The Asian Glossy Starling is a small, gregarious starling found in forests, mangroves, and urban areas across Southeast Asia and the Philippines. Weighing about 55g with a wingspan near 19.1cm, it has shimmering green-black plumage and a bright red eye. It moves in noisy flocks and feeds on fruit and small insects.
Common Myna
The common myna has been named one of the world's 100 worst invasive species by the IUCN. Originally from South Asia, it has been introduced to tropical regions worldwide where it outcompetes native birds for nest cavities. Despite its invasive status, the myna is an intelligent and charismatic bird capable of mimicking human speech.
