Blue Crane

Blue Crane (Anthropoides paradiseus) is South Africa's national bird, standing 100–120 cm. Pale blue-grey overall; elongated inner wing feathers trail to the ground; pale head. Inhabits open dry grasslands and Karoo, not primarily wetlands.

Siberian Crane

Siberian Crane (Leucogeranus leucogeranus) is a large 140–145 cm, all-white crane with red facial skin and pink bill and legs; black wingtips visible in flight. Wingspan to 230 cm. Critically Endangered; world population only ~4,000 birds. Breeds in Arctic Siberia; winters primarily at Poyang Lake, China.
