Philippine Bush-hen
Philippine Bush-hen (Amaurornis olivacea) is a 26–29 cm rail endemic to the Philippines. Uniform olive-brown above; pale buff below; greenish bill; reddish legs. Inhabits dense freshwater marshes, reed beds, and forest-edge wetlands across the main Philippine islands. Locally common but secretive.
White Swamphen
White Swamphen (Porphyrio albus) is an extinct all-white swamphen formerly endemic to Lord Howe Island, Australia. Known from specimens collected around 1790 and early drawings; had reduced wings indicating flightlessness or near-flightlessness. Extirpated by hunting after European discovery. Related to Australasian Swamphen.
