The Eurasian Spoonbill (Platalea leucorodia) is the most widespread member of the genus Platalea and the only spoonbill found across Europe. It is a large, all-white wading bird belonging to the family Threskiornithidae, measuring 70–95 cm in length with a wingspan of 115–135 cm and weighing 1,100–2,000 grams.
