The Bare-headed Babbler is a secretive babbler of the family Timaliidae found in the lowland forests of the Malay Peninsula and Borneo. It is distinguished by its striking bald head with bare skin, a unique feature among babblers. It forages on or near the forest floor in dense undergrowth, feeding on insects and other invertebrates.
Blackish-breasted Babbler
The Blackish-breasted Babbler is a near-threatened, compact babbler with dark brown upperparts, a blackish-streaked breast, and a rich rusty-buff belly. It inhabits bamboo thickets and dense undergrowth in the hill forests of northeastern India and adjacent Myanmar at elevations between 300 and 1,500 meters. It is poorly known but feeds on insects and seeds in dense vegetation close to the ground.
