About These Birds

Endangered; river modification and mammal predation depress breeding success. Insectivore and piscivore in river and coastal habitats.
Saunders's Gull

Black hood in breeding plumage, white wing-tip mirrors. Feeds on crustaceans and invertebrates in tidal mudflats. Threatened by reclamation of Yellow Sea tidal flats.
