Medium ground pigeon, 25–29 cm, with cryptic brown plumage, white face spots, a red and yellow facial mask, and a plain brown back. Restricted to rocky escarpments and woodland in the Kimberley and Northern Territory, Australia. Granivore of seeds. Vulnerable due to restricted range, changed fire regimes, and introduced predators.
New Britain Bronzewing
Medium-large terrestrial pigeon, 30–33 cm, similar to New Guinea Bronzewing but with a white head (not just forehead). Confined to lowland forests of New Britain in the Bismarck Archipelago. Feeds on seeds and fallen fruits on the forest floor. Least Concern.
