Austral Parakeet
The Austral Parakeet is a slender, long-tailed parrot found in Andean and Patagonian forests of Chile and Argentina. Weighing about 161g with a wingspan of 36.7cm, it has green plumage with a distinctive dark red patch on the belly. It feeds on seeds, berries, and shoots, often forming noisy flocks in beech and araucaria forests.

The Black-headed Parrot is a medium-sized, robust parrot with a jet-black head, bright yellow-orange nape and thighs, and vivid green upperparts. It inhabits humid lowland forests north of the Amazon River, ranging from Colombia and Venezuela to Brazil and Peru. It forages in the canopy and midstory, feeding on seeds, fruits, and berries, often in noisy flocks.
