Pinon's Imperial-pigeon (Ducula pinon), 45 cm. Dark green with a pale grey head, pinkish underparts and dark tail. Found in lowland forest of New Guinea and the Aru Islands. Frugivore. Least Concern; common and widespread in lowland New Guinea.
New Britain Bronzewing
Medium-large terrestrial pigeon, 30–33 cm, similar to New Guinea Bronzewing but with a white head (not just forehead). Confined to lowland forests of New Britain in the Bismarck Archipelago. Feeds on seeds and fallen fruits on the forest floor. Least Concern.
