Shining Imperial-pigeon (Ducula chalconota), 38 cm. Richly iridescent bronze-green upperparts with a contrasting pale grey head and underparts. Found in montane forest of New Guinea from 700 to 2,200 m. Frugivore. Least Concern; common in hill and montane forest.

Sclater's Crowned-pigeon

Large crowned-pigeon, 66–73 cm, with blue-grey body, a deep maroon breast, and a fan-shaped blue crest with lacy blue-grey tips rather than white. Found in lowland forests of southern New Guinea between the ranges of the other southern crowned species. Terrestrial frugivore. Vulnerable due to hunting and forest loss.
