Black-headed Myzomela

The Black-headed Myzomela is a small, active honeyeater with a glossy black head and breast contrasting with red or brownish body plumage in the male. It inhabits forests and forest edges in the Moluccas (Maluku Islands) and nearby Indonesian islands. It feeds primarily on nectar, visiting flowering trees and shrubs, and supplements its diet with small insects.
