Black Berrypecker

The Black Berrypecker is a small, all-black bird endemic to the forests of New Guinea, with the male uniformly glossy black and the female brownish with pale underparts. It inhabits mid-montane and lower montane forests across the main island and some satellite ranges. It feeds on berries and small fruits, playing a role in seed dispersal within its forest habitat.
