Talaud Rail
Talaud Rail (Gymnocrex talaudensis) is a poorly-known rail endemic to the Talaud Islands in the northern Moluccas, Indonesia. Similar to Blue-faced Rail; brown above with some rufous tones; bare facial skin. Inhabits forest and scrub on small islands. Known from very few specimens.
Ecuadorian Rail
Ecuadorian Rail (Rallus aequatorialis), 27 cm. Brown above with grey underparts and a long red bill; closely related to Virginia Rail. Inhabits freshwater marshes and wetlands of highland Ecuador above 2,000 m. Omnivore. Near Threatened; wetland loss in Andean highlands.
