About These Birds

Resident at alkaline and saline lakes in eastern and southern Africa, with a separate population on the Namibian coast. Feeds on brine flies and invertebrates. NT. Sensitive to water-level fluctuations at soda lake breeding sites.

Spot-breasted Lapwing

Spot-breasted Lapwing: 28–30 cm, Ethiopian highland endemic lapwing with a black head and breast spotted white, and red legs.
