Small dove, 24–26 cm, with emerald-green upperparts, a dark chestnut-brown head without a grey cap, and pinkish underparts. Endemic to New Guinea and the Bismarck Archipelago, inhabiting lowland and hill rainforest. Granivore and frugivore on the forest floor. Least Concern.
