Black-and-white Mannikin

The Black-and-white Mannikin is a small, gregarious finch of forest edges, scrub, and grasslands across West, Central, and East Africa. It has glossy black upperparts and white underparts with a distinctive scalloped pattern on the flanks. It feeds in flocks on grass seeds and small insects.
