The Black-bellied Cicadabird is a slender, sexually dimorphic bird found in the montane forests of New Guinea, with males displaying black upperparts and a distinctive black belly patch. It inhabits mid-elevation forests on the main island and some satellite ranges. Like other cicadabirds, it feeds on insects and small fruits, foraging in the forest canopy and mid-story.
