Long-billed Starthroat
O beija-flor-de-bico-longo-de-coroa-castanha é um beija-flor de tamanho médio do sul do México e América do Sul. O macho tem partes superiores verde-brilhante, coroa castanha e uma gorjeira vermelho-rosada-iridescente. Tem um bico notavelmente longo para aceder ao néctar de flores tubulares. Habita em florestas húmidas e orlas de floresta. Contribui para a polinização de muitas plantas tropicais.
Rufous-booted Racket-tail
A small hummingbird (8-10 cm plus tail rackets) found in Andean cloud forests of southeastern Peru and Bolivia at 1,200-2,200 m. Males have rufous leg puffs instead of white. Recently split from Booted Racket-tail. Nectarivore of montane forest undergrowth.
