Rolinha-roxa (Columbina talpacoti) — Rolinha muito comum da América Central e do Sul, até a Argentina. Macho com plumagem acastanhada avermelhada; fêmea mais parda. Habita bordas de floresta, jardins, parques e áreas agrícolas. Aninha perto do solo em arbustos baixos. Uma das rolinhas mais frequentes em áreas urbanas tropicais.
Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
