Rolinha-fogo-apagou (Columbina squammata) — Rolinha de padrão escamoso característico, encontrada no nordeste do Brasil, principalmente em áreas de caatinga e cerrado. Plumagem com aspecto de escamas formadas por penas de bordas escuras. Habita áreas secas e abertas. Voz com assobios distintos que lembram 'fogo apagou'.
Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
