Apresenta uma banda acinzentada característica no pescoço. Habita florestas tropicais densas de baixada. Pouco conhecida, sendo registrada principalmente através de especímenes antigos.

Slender cuckoo-dove, 32–36 cm, rufous-brown with finely barred upperparts and a long, graduated tail. Confined to the Batu Islands (North Pagai, South Pagai, Siberut, and Sipora) off the coast of West Sumatra. Inhabits forest. Frugivore of small fruits. Near Threatened due to forest clearance.
