Pomba-trocaz (Columba trocaz) — Pomba endémica da ilha da Madeira. Apresenta plumagem cinza com marcas brancas no pescoço. Habita as laurissilvas da Madeira, um dos últimos remanescentes de floresta laurácea original. A população se recuperou de uma grave ameaça de extinção graças à proteção legal. Voa pelo dossel em busca de frutos.

Medium dove, 27–30 cm, with warm rufous-brown upperparts, a black neck collar, and a deep orange-red breast. Endemic to the highland plateaus and montane grasslands of northern Nigeria and Cameroon. Granivore of grass seeds and cultivated grains. Poorly studied and localised range. Least Concern.
