About These Birds

Bar-throated Minla

The Bar-throated Minla is a small babbler of the family Leiothrichidae found in montane forests and forest edges across the Himalayas and mountains of Southwest China. Weighing about 19.1g with a wingspan of 13.3cm, it has orange-yellow plumage with a streaked throat and barred wings. It forages actively in mixed-species flocks through the forest mid-canopy.
