Torda-mergulhadora (Cepphus grylle), 30–36 cm. Plumagem preta com grande mancha branca nas asas, interior do bico vermelho, pernas vermelhas. No inverno, torna-se branca com marcações escuras. Habita costas rochosas do Atlântico Norte e Ártico. Nidifica em fendas. Mergulha para capturar peixes e invertebrados.

Dives to 200+ m — deepest diver among alcids. Piscivore; takes capelin, cod. Vulnerable to climate change in the High Arctic.
