Brown Noddy

Brown Noddy: 38–45 cm, wingspan 75–86 cm, chocolate-brown tropical tern with a white cap fading to grey on the forehead and a wedge-shaped tail. Highly abundant colonial seabird nesting on oceanic islands and coral atolls throughout tropical and subtropical oceans. Plunge-dives for small fish and invertebrates. Long-lived. Partly migratory.

African Skimmer

African Skimmer: 36–42 cm, black-and-white skimmer with a long bright orange-yellow bill where the lower mandible is longer than the upper. Flies low over large rivers and lakes, cutting the water surface with the lower bill to catch fish. Resident and partial migrant along large rivers and lakes of sub-Saharan Africa. NT.
