How to Tell Them Apart
Barbary Partridge
Blue-grey upperparts; chestnut-spotted white flank bars; grey crown; rufous-brown collar with white spots; reddish-orange bill and legs; white face. Closely resembles Red-legged Partridge but collar spotted.
Malay Crested Fireback
Male deep chestnut-brown with blue-black belly and tail; white-streaked flanks; blue crest; blue and red facial wattle. Female warm reddish-brown with fine white streaking; shorter blue crest than male.

Classificada como Pouco Preocupante pela UICN.

A large, boldly patterned Phasianidae pheasant (~1.82 kg) of lowland dipterocarp forests in peninsular Malaysia. Males display chestnut-orange plumage, a curled blue-black crest, and cobalt-blue facial skin. Feeds on fallen fruits, seeds, and small invertebrates. Vulnerable from accelerating lowland forest clearance.
