Um icterídeo de banhado da família Icteridae, encontrado em áreas úmidas dos Andes e do Cone Sul da América do Sul. O Sargento (Agelasticus thilius) habita banhados, margens de rios e áreas alagadas no Chile, Argentina, Bolívia, Peru e Uruguai. Mede aproximadamente 19-20 cm. Os machos são pretos com ombreiras amarelas, enquanto as fêmeas têm listras marrons. Alimenta-se de insetos, sementes e pequenos crustáceos aquáticos. Constrói ninhos em juncos ou totoras. Black-cowled Oriole
The Black-cowled Oriole is a medium-sized, boldly colored oriole of humid lowland forests and forest edges in Central America, from eastern Mexico through Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica, with male showing a mostly black hood contrasting with yellow underparts and rump. It inhabits forest edges, gardens, and tall secondary vegetation, feeding on nectar, fruits, and large insects.
