Um gavião pequeno e amplamente distribuído da família Accipitridae nas Américas. O Gavião-miúdo (Accipiter striatus) habita florestas em toda a América do Norte e América Central, com populações setentrionais migrando para o sul durante o inverno. Mede aproximadamente 24-34 cm, com machos consideravelmente menores que as fêmeas. Caracterizado pela cauda longa e asas curtas arredondadas. É o menor dos três Accipiter da América do Norte. Alimenta-se principalmente de pequenas aves. Classificado como Pouco Preocupante pela UICN.

The Black Baza is a small, striking raptor of South and Southeast Asia with a bold crest, black upperparts, and white underparts barred with chestnut. It inhabits tropical and subtropical forests, including forest edges and secondary growth, from the foothills of the Himalayas through Myanmar, southern China, and the Malay Peninsula. It feeds primarily on large insects, frogs, and lizards, often hunting in small groups.
