Um gavião muito pequeno da família Accipitridae, endêmico das ilhas Sulawesi e de Butung na Indonésia. O Gavião-de-Sulawesi (Accipiter nanus) habita florestas tropicais montanas. Mede apenas cerca de 23-28 cm, sendo um dos menores gaviões do mundo. Alimenta-se provavelmente de insetos grandes e pequenos lagartos, dado seu tamanho diminuto. É uma espécie insular pouco conhecida que enfrenta pressão de perda de habitat florestal. Classificado como Pouco Preocupante pela UICN.

The Black Baza is a small, striking raptor of South and Southeast Asia with a bold crest, black upperparts, and white underparts barred with chestnut. It inhabits tropical and subtropical forests, including forest edges and secondary growth, from the foothills of the Himalayas through Myanmar, southern China, and the Malay Peninsula. It feeds primarily on large insects, frogs, and lizards, often hunting in small groups.
