Um gavião de floresta pequeno da família Accipitridae, endêmico das Ilhas Salomão. O Gavião-imitador (Accipiter imitator) habita florestas tropicais nas ilhas Choiseul e Bougainville. Mede aproximadamente 30-38 cm. Recebe esse nome por se assemelhar a outros gaviões da região. É uma espécie de distribuição muito restrita, conhecida de apenas algumas ilhas. Alimenta-se provavelmente de pequenas aves e lagartos. Classificado como Vulnerável pela UICN devido à sua distribuição limitada e perda de habitat.

The Black Baza is a small, striking raptor of South and Southeast Asia with a bold crest, black upperparts, and white underparts barred with chestnut. It inhabits tropical and subtropical forests, including forest edges and secondary growth, from the foothills of the Himalayas through Myanmar, southern China, and the Malay Peninsula. It feeds primarily on large insects, frogs, and lizards, often hunting in small groups.
