Um gavião raro da família Accipitridae, endêmico da ilha de Nova Bretanha na Papua Nova Guiné. O Gavião-cinza-azulado (Accipiter luteoschistaceus) habita florestas tropicais na ilha de Nova Bretanha. Mede aproximadamente 30-38 cm. É uma espécie pouco conhecida e muito raramente avistada. A plumagem inclui tom cinza-azulado nas partes superiores. Alimenta-se provavelmente de pequenas aves.
