O Gavião-de-garganta-branca (Accipiter albogularis) habita florestas tropicais nas Ilhas Salomão e nas Ilhas Santa Cruz. Mede aproximadamente 30-38 cm. Caracterizado pela garganta branca distinta em contraste com as partes superiores escuras. Alimenta-se principalmente de pequenas aves e lagartos, caçando nas florestas densas. Como muitos gaviões insulares, enfrenta ameaças de perda de habitat. Classificado como Pouco Preocupante pela UICN.
