Striated Thornbill
Um tordo-da-capoeira pequeno e listrado da família Acanthizidae, endêmico do sudeste da Austrália. O Tordo-listrado (Acanthiza lineata) habita florestas de eucalipto e matagais no leste e sudeste da Austrália, incluindo Grande Cordilheira Divisória e ilha de Tasmania. Mede aproximadamente 10 cm. Caracterizado pelas estrias distintas na cabeça e partes inferiores. Alimenta-se de insetos e invertebrados, forragendo ativamente na casca da árvore e galhos. Frequentemente visto em bandos mistos com outras espécies pequenas. Classificado como Pouco Preocupante pela UICN.
Banded Whiteface
The Banded Whiteface is a small, plump bird of the family Acanthizidae found in arid scrubland of central Australia. Weighing about 10.5g with a wingspan of 11.4cm, it has a distinctive black band across the chest contrasting with its white face. It forages on the ground and in low shrubs for seeds and insects.
