Um tordo-da-capoeira vivo e barulhento da família Acanthizidae, endêmico da Austrália. O Tordo-de-cauda-amarela (Acanthiza chrysorrhoa) é encontrado em diversas regiões da Austrália, habitando florestas abertas, matagais, jardins suburbanos e parques. Mede aproximadamente 11-12 cm e é facilmente identificado pela vibrante cobertura de cauda amarela. Alimenta-se de insetos, invertebrados e pequenas sementes, forragendo no solo e na vegetação baixa. É uma ave muito vocal com uma variedade de chamadas e canções. Classificado como Pouco Preocupante pela UICN.
Banded Whiteface
The Banded Whiteface is a small, plump bird of the family Acanthizidae found in arid scrubland of central Australia. Weighing about 10.5g with a wingspan of 11.4cm, it has a distinctive black band across the chest contrasting with its white face. It forages on the ground and in low shrubs for seeds and insects.
