The Bay-headed Tanager is a strikingly colorful tanager found in humid forests from Costa Rica south to Bolivia and Brazil. Its most distinctive feature is the deep chestnut-red head contrasting with turquoise-green and blue body plumage. It inhabits forest canopy and edges, feeding on fruits and insects.
