Coua-gigante (Coua gigas) — O maior membro do gênero Coua, endémico das florestas do sul e oeste de Madagascar. Comprimento de até 60 cm. Plumagem cinza-azulada com marcas faciais avermelhadas. Terrícola e poderoso corredor, raramente voa. Alimenta-se de insetos grandes, lagartos e pequenos vertebrados. Vulnerável à caça.
