Andorinhão-da-Costa-Rica (Chaetura fumosa), 11–12 cm. Plumagem uniformemente escura com tonalidade marrom-fuliginosa, uropígio ligeiramente mais claro. Habita bordas de florestas úmidas e áreas costeiras da Costa Rica e Panamá. Captura insetos em voo ágil, frequentemente em grupos mistos.

Small; uniformly dark sooty-brown with rump barely paler than dark back; underparts dark grey-brown; short spiny tail; Central American Pacific slope species; exceptionally dark and uniform compared to most Chaetura swifts.
