Um icterídeo da família Icteridae, endêmico de Porto Rico. O Tordilho-amarelo (Agelaius xanthomus) habita florestas de manguezal, pântanos e bordas de floresta em Porto Rico, incluindo a isla de Mona. Mede aproximadamente 22-24 cm. Os machos têm plumagem preta com ombreiras e coberturas de asa amarelas vistosas, enquanto as fêmeas têm amarelo mais pálido. Alimenta-se de insetos, frutos e néctar. Enfrenta ameaças de perda de habitat e parasitismo pelo Chupim. Classificado como Em Perigo pela UICN.
