Uma ave canora da família Icteridae, encontrada nas pastagens abertas da América do Sul. O Tordo-de-chumbo (Agelaioides badius) habita prados, savanas e áreas agrícolas da Argentina, Bolívia, Brasil, Paraguai e Uruguai. Mede aproximadamente 18-20 cm. A plumagem é caracteristicamente cinza-chumbo uniforme. Alimenta-se de insetos, sementes e pequenos vertebrados. Frequentemente parasitado pelo Chupim (Molothrus bonariensis). Vive em grupos e pode formar bandos mistos com outras espécies de Icteridae. Classificado como Pouco Preocupante pela UICN.
