A small swiftlet (11-12 cm) widespread from the Malay Peninsula through Indonesia to Melanesia. Dark uniform plumage with a slightly paler rump. Aerial insectivore. Colonial cave nester using echolocation. One of the most taxonomically complex swiftlet species.
