O Gavião-de-franja (Accipiter fasciatus) habita florestas, bosques e jardins em todo o seu extenso território. Mede aproximadamente 34-46 cm. A plumagem inclui partes superiores marrons e partes inferiores barradas. Alimenta-se principalmente de aves de tamanho pequeno a médio. É um caçador adaptável e bem-sucedido em ambientes variados.
